Reviews and Ratings
The hotel fell short of our expectations with rooms that were not in a superior state, showing signs of wear and tear, such as a falling apart wardrobe, mouldy shower heads, and an extremely worn mattress. The price we paid did not match the quality we received, especially with the room overlooking a dark corner with the chef's car parked there. On a positive note, the refurbished rooms were very comfortable, offering complementary tea, coffee, and shower gel, and were exceptionally clean.
The hotel had its ups and downs. Despite the rooms needing a good dusting and spider web removal, the dining experience was enjoyable with a superb buffet. The location, although in a lovely area, experienced some rowdiness from wedding guests. The service, while the team of professional staff had some hiccups, had a very helpful head receptionist.
The hotel rooms were better than expected, very tidy and spacious. The service was friendly and informative but slightly lacking. The location is great for exploring the area but could use some improvements. The dining experience was not as impressive as hoped. Overall, a decent stay with some room for enhancements.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were not very nice, lacking basic amenities like a wardrobe, but they were warm, clean, and comfy. The service from the staff, especially the bar manager, was excellent. The location was convenient, with a stately home ambiance, but there were some disruptions from rowdy wedding guests. The dining experience left much to be desired with cold, poorly prepared dishes. However, the facilities were decent overall.
The hotel offers beautiful views of the garden from some rooms, but cleanliness could be improved. The service is cheerful and helpful, although there are still areas for improvement. The location provides a lovely atmosphere, especially during special events like New Year's Eve parties, but some areas appear uninviting. The dining experience offers a variety of choices, although some meals may be disappointing. The facilities are well-stocked with amenities, catering to different preferences.
